NH Foods Australia is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NH Foods Group, a publicly listed company in Japan. NH Foods Group is a leader in the global delivery of a wide variety of foods including fresh meats, ham, sausages, processed foods, seafood, dairy products and health foods.
NH Foods Australia operates one of the largest beef export processing facilities – Oakey Beef Exports, an award winning, vertically integrated supply chain business.
Established in 1956, It is strategically placed in prime cattle areas along the east coast of Australia, and acknowledged as industry leaders in food safety and hygiene practices. These facilities are supported by one of Australia’s largest and most modern cattle feedlots, Whyalla Beef, located in Southern Queensland. The Group’s livestock team sources a wide range of cattle from the best producers throughout Eastern Australia to meet the precise requirements of each product specification.
Cattle Breeds
Cattle types include Wagyu, Black Angus, and other premium British breeds which complete their superior quality award-winning grain fed and grass fed programs. Buyers can trace their meat products from farm to plate, from the animal’s property of birth, through to the end user. This traceability includes details on the animal, workers, defects, yield, and volume data – offering surety to wholesalers, end users, and consumers

Oakey Premium Wagyu
Oakey Premium Wagyu is award-winning Australian beef. With its high marbling content, it is renowned for outstanding eating quality. It is sourced using the two most proven marbling breeds – Fullblood Wagyu and Angus.
Raised in the cooler climates of Australia, their F1 Wagyu transitioned to a specifically designed grain ration for a minimum of 350 days to produce guaranteed 3 to 9 marble scores to cater for all levels of taste and palates. It is 100% Australian and 100% free of hormone growth promotants (HGPs). With over 40 years of experience in the Australian beef industry as a vertically integrated company, they own and operate each step of the production process.
Oakey Angus Reserve
Angus Reserve is Australia’s Largest Verified Black Angus Beef brand. Raised on some of the richest agricultural lands across Australia, their Black Angus beef suits a variety of markets and customer palates. All are finished on an exclusively formulated grain fed diet comprising wheat, corn and barley. Their award-winning Angus Reserve, with 2+ marbling, is unmatched for taste, guaranteed for tenderness and full of flavour. With over 40 years of experience in the Australian beef industry as a vertically integrated company, they own and operate key steps of their supply chain including lot feeding and processing. They are also fully graded by Meat Standards Australia, a world-leading eating quality system.
